There is no warning or data dump file after it crashes and it does not reopen with my changes. To show you how it normally behaves in this program I will try it for you and give you a screenvideo of it, but therefore I need a short problemfile you have to give through a dropbox option or so, because it must not be changed by any website. So something has to be wrong with your file or your setup and/or settings. On the laptop from signature those kind of files and haviour ones behave normal and play without a bunch of effects mostly in preview/full. And I have to use task manager to close the program. I can still move the program around my monitor (not completely frozen) but buttons become functionless, and will not do anything when pressed. bak files, and updating my quicktime, still no luck. Nothing wrong with your file and nothing wrong with some move of an event ( as we call in this program a clip on the timeline) So as the title says, the program freezes at 25. That is not normal behaviour of the program. When the programe crashes I get a hourglass and the screen goes transparent white and will stay like this until I shut it down. The problem occurs when I move video clips or sound clips on the timeline, (but hey is that what the program is supposed to do!!!)

If you are doing critical color correction or effects work and need to view the original footage at top resolution, set the Preview Quality to Best (Full) to access the original full-resolution files. Using the proxies, you will experience much better playback performance. You will also see noticeably lower resolution. If you set to the Preview Quality to Good or Best, you will work with the original file. To use the proxy file in place of the original file, choose Preview or Draft quality. ✓ In the Video Preview window, click Preview Quality. ✓ If your media file is not already in the timeline, drag it to the timeline from the Project Media window. The proxies are tied to the original files and you can access them along with the original files on the timeline. Whether you created the proxy files automatically or manually, only your original files are displayed in the Project Media window. Read on to find out more about 4K and 8K editing with proxies in VEGAS Pro! Then, we’ll follow these steps in VEGAS Pro: With VEGAS Pro, you can generate proxy files of your footage that your computer can handle with ease and get you back to good playback rates even as you add edits, layers, and effects.įirst, we’ll explore what proxies are and how you can use them to your advantage, especially if you’re using an older computer with a slower processor or GPU. Worse yet, your software or system could crash under the load.ĭon’t worry – there’s a way around it. On an older or budget system, even if you can get smooth full-framerate playback when playing a single file, if you add more streams, edits, or effects, you may quickly find your playback dropping to only a few frames per second, making it virtually impossible to work with. Want to edit the latest high-resolution formats like 4K or 8K, but not sure if your computer system can handle it? Ultra-high-resolution footage takes a lot of processing power.
